History

"Grafobal Vilnius" Lithuanian and Slovakian Joint Stock Company, a member of "Grafobal Group" corporation (Bratislava, Slovakia), with its' 40 years tradition in printed packaging production belongs to the prominent producers in this field in Lithuania.
In the year 1964 the Experimental Packing Design Bureau was founded in Vilnius and situated in Zverynas district.
In 1975 the Bureau was reorganised into "Vilnis" Packing Industrial Association.
With launching the privatisation process in Lithuania, in 1992 the "Vilpakas" Joint Stock Company was registered.
In the year 1995 the Slovakian company "Grafobal" a.s. Skalica, Slovakia, acquired the control package of shares and "Vilpakas" was renamed to the Joint Venture "Grafobal Vilnius" Lithuanian and Slovakian Joint Stock Company.

Today "Grafobal Vilnius" JSC is the largest and most famous enterprises in Lithuania, engaged in packaging printing from different types of flat board and elastic materials.
The experience available, stable traditions in qualitative printing and up-to-date printing equipment enables the company to fulfil the constantly rising requirements in high quality printed packaging and packing items.
"Grafobal Vilnius" has implemented the multi-stage production quality control system. The quality control is provided in every stage of manufacturing process, following the technical conditions intended for offset and flexo printing, standards of enterprise, quality requirements and norms,
which conform with the standards of Lithuania. The company implemented and substantiated by corresponding documents the primary checking procedure of the main and secondary raw materials and chemical additions used in manufacturing process. All printing materials have hygiene certificates for food and non-food products given by the National Nutrition Centre of Ministry of Health of Lithuania. The exported production has corresponding conformity certificates of the manufactured production according to the law requirements in present country. In 1999 a licence No.00345617 from Russia State Standardization Committee was given. This licence enables the company to use State Certification System - GOST.
